How to Find And Repair Broken Audio Files…
With Ashampoo Music Studio 3 you can find and repair broken audio with just a few mouse clicks. |
Add files…
1. |
Click on the Add button to add the tracks you want to find and repair. A browser dialog will open in which you can browse for the tracks you want to add. |

You can remove the audio files tracks by using the Remove button. |

Click on Next > to proceed and to select the output location. |

Clicking on < Back brings you back to the starting screen of Ashampoo Music Studio 3. You will be asked if you want to cancel the process and loose all the settings you have done. |

Clicking on Cancel will cancel the current process and will bring you back to the starting screen of Ashampoo Music Studio 3. |
Using Normal Mode…
You will be guided through a series of three different screens to enter the settings. Each of these screens contains explanations about your options and their effects. You will be led through the following steps: |

Repair options Here you decide whether the program should try to repair broken files. If you want it to do that, place a check mark in the corresponding box. The other check boxes in the screen determine what the program should do with the original (broken) files before they are repaired. They can either be placed in the recycle bin, or on the desktop or they can be moved to another folder.

Broken file settings The second screen lets you specify what the program should do with broken files. If you have chosen that files should be repaired in the previous screen, then this refers to files that cannot be repaired. Otherwise this simply refers to all broken files, repairable and not repairable alike.
You can decide between three basic options for this settings.

Confirm settings The third screen displays a short summary of the decisions you have made. If everything is as you want it, you can click on the Start button to start the process. If you want to make some changes to the settings, just click on the < Back button at the bottom of the screen to go back to the previous pages. |
Using Expert Mode…
In Expert Mode all settings are presented on a single screen. |

Broken file handling You can also specify whether the program should move broken files somewhere. If you have chosen that files should be repaired in the option above, then this refers to files that cannot be repaired. Otherwise this simply refers to all broken files, repairable and not repairable alike.If you want broken files to be moved, place a check mark in the corresponding check box. You can then choose in the list below where they should be moved to. The files can either be moved to a folder, or the recycle bin.

When you are done with the settings, click on the Start button at the bottom of the page to begin the process. |
